Tony Scott: Temple Series 1

The recent discovery of “Temple Series 1”, a major commissioned work by artist Tony Scott, has provoked a reconsideration of Scott’s geometric abstractions.

Dating to the 1990’s, the work hails from a period when Scott was living in Beijing and drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese architecture. The nine-panel work will be exhibited alongside Scott’s more recent landscape paintings.

Tony Scott has worked and exhibited in the Asia Pacific region for over twenty-five years. He has held 40 solo and group exhibitions in China since 1994 when he staged his first exhibition at the prestigious Red Gate Gallery in Beijing. His practice is committed to cultural exchange between Asia and Australia.
